Hands In Motion is a Washington, DC-based interpreting agency for the deaf providing service to the deaf and hard-of-hearing community across the United States. We strive to provide the highest quality job performance and exemplary customer service to our clients.
Our Interpreters
Our interpreters are highly-skilled professionals holding national certifications for their profession. We provide only the best certified and pre-certified interpreters to our clients. Our interpreters abide by the Code of Ethics set out by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID).
Hands In Motion interpreters arrive to assignments 15 minutes prior to the scheduled appointed time, however the client is not charged. This extra time allows our interpreters to establish a rapport with our clients and to properly prepare for the assignment at-hand.
Our Clients
Hands In Motion provides interpreters for a variety of settings. Most recently, Hands In Motion has interpreted for President Barack Obama at Georgetown University. We specialize in education, medical, government, legal, platform/conference, and performing arts interpreting. DC Public Schools, Montgomery County Public Schools, Obama for America, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture have all benefited from the quality work and interpreters Hands In Motion provides.
Also, Hands In Motion offers “Deaf Awareness” classes aimed at educating people on deaf culture, history, and basic sign language. We also provide educational tours in ASL.
